PvP Prestige is a system where "prestige bonus" is awarded for victories over other players on attacks you initiate.

PvP Prestige is awarded for victories over other players (excluding PvP Arena and GvG) on attacks you initiate. Note you can only gain PvP Prestige from active players (last login < 7 days), if XP loss was applicable and only once in every 3 day period.

PvP Prestige is gained as a fixed amount based on the type of attack (+10 for a standard attack, +1 for a bounty). Remember you only gain if you initiated the attack and were victorious.

No prestige gain from PvP against your own guild members. PvP rating doesn't affect the amount of prestige gained per combat. The Top 100 players on the PvP Ladder recieve a weekly bonus.

PvP Prestige can be used to activate the PvP Prestige skill on yourself to gain an additional xp boost for the next hour. For every 50 points you earn, you gain +1% in the skill up to a upper limit of 450 points (+10% XP Gain).

You can view your current PvP Prestige and the bonus it would provide by activating it on the Attack Player screen.

Prestige is not used in the PvP Arena, in bounties or in guild conflicts.

History

The prestige system was added in the v1.642 update on Sep 29, 2009.

In Game Update v1.6493 (21/01/2010) the current PvP Prestige transfer system was introduced. Previously the number of prestige points you gained depended on how hard was the target you attacked - attacking someone with a higher PvP Rating than you awarded you more prestige points.
