DetailsThe air buffets you in quick bursts as you move through the Windvale. Above you large birds wheel on the rising air columns. Their lonely calls filtering down from the blue skies above. Then suddenly you see some of the dark shadows descend from the heavens, drawn to a particular spot. You assume they are feasting on some downed game, but as you get nearer you are shocked to see leather armour being shredded by the Sky Renders. You draw your weapon and drive the scavengers off. The birds haven't left much, they have discarded the anything they could not eat. The poor fellow's belongings have been scattered around in a morbid ring around where he fell. You see a bow, long sword, then a dagger and skinning knife. He was obviously a hunter, but not a very good one. Picking through the wreckage you find a scroll bound with a course leather strap. Opening it you see a hastily written letter from a person called Sathkaan, accepting Ralsath for a job to acquire a Render Elements. The odd objects make little sense to you. But on the reverse the letter you find the a recipe for the Elements. You might be able to a some easy gold by getting the Render Elements for this Sathkaan person. You receive 1 x Render Elements Recipe A merchant in fine robes waves you over, 'Excuse me, have you see an Hunter called Ralsath? He should be around here...' You tell the Merchant that you found a body of a Hunter just north of here. The Merchant blinks at you, 'A body! Is he...', he trails off in shock. Then stammers, 'Well it might be someone else...' You cut him off by handing over the letter you found. He takes it in silence. 'Well, this is terrible. The loss of a Hunter and a Contract broken. He pales as he looks at the letter. 'Oh, I remember this job. That is one Patron I do not want to disappoint.' Panic begins to build within Sathkaan. 'He is not known for his patience, I've heard rumors you know. Dark ones as well.' You smile at him, then hand over the Render Elements. Sathkaan looks at the tightly sealed pouch in his hand as if it is a dream, relief floods over him. 'This is perfect. I don't know what to say!' He smiles broadly at you, 'I would like to invite you to SK Acquisitions. We are an outfit that works directly of out of Karthak City. We deal in Contracts with a select group of Patrons. These Contracts can be anything that the Patrons require, as long as it's legal - we will get it!' he winks at you. 'We are a young company, but opportunities are born from success. Will you join our merry band?' You look at Sathkaan's eager young face. Then shrug, what else do you have to do. Sathkaan extends an cautious hand, you shake. Sathkaan grins, 'Excellent. Now you will need this Medallion to authenticate that you are employed by us. DO NOT LOOSE IT! Our associates will only deal with those who bear the Seal and I shall not give you another. They are expensive items and are keyed to you personally.' He digs into his long cloak then brings out a long red box. You see the initials SK emblazoned in large golden letters on the lid of the box. You take it, opening the box you find within a bright golden Medallion. As you pick it up, a surge of heat runs up you arm. You feel the binding spell lock onto your spirit. Sathkaan beams at you, 'Excellent – we just need to finish the Contract that the Patron has stated. I shall return to Karthak and inform him of our success so far.
