Introduction to Bounty Hunting

The Bounty Hunter Setup is a setup where each piece of equipment features Attack, and relevant Damage. High levels of attack penetrate higher levels of Defense.

Importance

The Bounty Hunter Setup is only important if you PvP via the Bounty Board. However, this setup is not mandatory for all Bounty Hunts because not all players have an awesome, if any, Defense Setup.

Key Elements

The Key Elements to a One-Hit Setup consist of:

Dark Curse

Like the One-Hit Setup, when Dark Curse is activated upon a player, this player is enabled to sacrifice some of his/her Attack for more Damage. Because the opponent's Defense is lowered, less Attack is required of the player.

+x% Base Damage Skills

Beserk and Fury are useful with the Bounty Hunter Setup. Since most points are placed into Attack for the combats, the player may be lacking enough Damage to overcome the opponent's Armor. These two Skill Buffs add extra Damage to the player.

Buffs/Enhancements that Add Extra Damage

These Skill Buffs are not the ones that add to the base value of the player, but rather, adds damage based on luck and is dealt between the turns. Ignite and Bloodthirst are the two Buffs that add Extra Damage.

The Duelist Enhancement, currently only available through Items in the 300's and through a Guild Structure called Combat Pit, can increase the Attack/Damage Stats during PvP combat.

Weaknesses

The One-Hit Setup has two main weaknesses:

  • 2% Chance of Missing; and
  • Vulnerability to other players.

2% Chance of Missing

Even though a player may have enough Attack and overcomes the opponent's Defense, there is still a 2% chance of missing the opponent fully. This, however, is when Enhancements and Skill Buffs come in.

Enhancements such as Dodge, Nullify, and Reinforced Armor will minimize damage done to you by your opponent.

Skills such as Absorb, Force Shield, Last Ditch, Shockwave, and Stun will minimize damage done to you by your opponent.

Vulnerability

Because of lower levels Armor and Defense, other players that see you online (or see you on a square) have the potential to attack you and steal gold and make you lose EXP and PvP Rating.
