Centering problem
Hi Belgrave!
I have a problem with centering a part of my wiki page! I managed to center one part (character upgrades in my page - roan)... the problem is that theres a part that when i try to center the same way i did for other part, it centers my hole wiki page stuff! This section i would like you to center is: My backpack... you'll see it in my wiki page! Hope you can fix that for me!

Thanks for fixing!
New templates
Could you modify the new template:CStat and related templates so that the column of values is closer to the column of labels? - Robyyn 13:59, 5 July 2008 (BST)
- That isn't exactly possible since we need to consider the many different screen resolutions and browser widths of other users. One possible solution would be to give different background colors to every other row. It would work for Template:CStat but would make use of Template:CEnh more detailed since I'd have to add another parameter so you'd have to manually tell each enhancement what background color to be. I'll play around with it today and see what I can conjure up.
— Belgrave, Moderator / Sysop Talk Message PM- CStat look really nice! I'm sure there's a way to figure out if the enhancement is on an odd or even line... - Robyyn 12:19, 6 July 2008 (BST)
- At the moment, the only way to do it is manually. I did add an extra parameter (|col=), but I've avoided using it in hope that someday HCS will finally get around to giving us the extensions we need to be able to do things like that.

User Pages
hey mate, i currently have my homepage site http://wiki.fallensword.com/index.php/User:Blaydwin and http://wiki.fallensword.com/index.php/Blaydwin they are the same, anyway you can make the second one my homepage site. I cant move the first cuz i created the second by accident when i realized that on the player list User was coming up infront of my name. Blaydwin 13:21, 7 July 2008 (BST)
- Actually, it's better to use User:Blaydwin instead of Blaydwin. While it's not our top priority, we do plan on eventually moving all the player pages to user pages. What you can do (I do it too), is have Blaydwin redirect to User:Blaydwin while keeping Blaydwin in Category:Players so it's just Blaydwin that shows up in the list.

User to ban?
Have a look : CHris1997's Contributions , I see you have blocked the guy for 1 week but given the sheer amount of vandalism, I believe more is required. There is still some work to do to undo his actions :-(
Phoxtrot 09:15, 14 July 2008 (BST)
- He was banned, the vandalism reverted, and HCS notified. This player's account was terminated.

Why i don't want to have my wiki moved
- I really didn't know there was a discussion for some weeks, because if you don't search for it you won't find it and if you don't know there is a discussion...who would search for it?
- if somebody uses the feature randompage its possible to get on my page which i think is not wrong but good. i want to have it that way though i never used that feature. if i want to get anywhere i use search.
- its not possible to block vandalism as long as the page can be changed by anybody. and if there is a change or vandalism on my page, i can undo it myself or report it. no sysop or admin have to watch over it.
- i dont like the user page because if i use this page as my page and link that page on player profile pages, there is always that word "user:" in front of it and if i use redirection from my wiki to my user page and link my normal wiki page to player profile pages there is no link to player profile pages on my user page unless i create a backlink myself.
- you can see my contributions even if i dont use my user page because it still exists.
- you can send me messages even if i dont use my user page because i get a notice.
- there will be no change in statistics even if i move my current profile page to my user page, because i dont have any content on my profile page.
- there is always a reason not to edit my page. it doesnt have to be a user page therefor. or can i change any page i want without being told not to do so?
- and which option on user pages is that important that i should use it?
- To answer your questions:
- You should always check out the Helping Out page, since the Wiki is not just an extension of your bio, it is also a resource. Therefore, you should not only be contributing to your own profile/user page.
- The randompage function is not for other users to look at your page, it is for contributors to look at a random page to see if it needs editing.
- If there's vandalism on ANY page, we can all check by using the Recent Changes page.
- The Player Profile pages can be reached on the Main Page, so you don't need to worry about having users going to the Player Profile pages from YOUR page specifically. If they want to get there, they will find a way.
- True, it's possible to view your contributions from another page, but since it's located on your User page, why not just view it from there?
- The User Talk page can only be reached on User:PumaDiAce but not PumaDiAce.
- If there will be no change in statistics, then why be against it?
- Yes, you can edit any page you want without being told not to do so. Nobody is stopping you from editing any page you want. However, it is only unethical, like the message says.
- Logs and User Contributions, as well as User Talk can only be reached on your User Page.

- to your 3. and 5. point: thats what i wanted to say. so i dont get the point of what belgrave said: by Putting profile pages in the Main namespace makes it harder to see a user's contributions, and for sysop/admin purposes, harder to block, fix vandalism, and view logs for that user. These should not be hindered since it helps others judge the quality of a user's contributions to the wiki.
- to your 4. point: its not only for others but also for me. i dont want to click three times if its easier to click once.
- to your 6. and 9. point: if you dont have a problem with clicking through pages, where is the problem clicking back to my user page to add something to my discussion or to watch over my contributions (which are really not that interesting for others)
- to your 7. point: because there will be no change there is no good reason yet to change it.
- I don't want this to go on any further, I know what I'm doing, I know what good I'm doing for the Wiki. What I'm going to do is to wait for HCS approval to move your page, then I, or somebody else, will.

- Official HCS response to a ticket concerning this issue is that yes, all player profile pages should be in the User namespace. This answer is final and the subject is closed.

missing maps
How do you make maps on here? I'm in the Savage Ruins areas, and SR North has no map on the wiki. - Robyyn 05:22, 20 July 2008 (BST)
World Areas
Ok, I'll stop. Your idea is a better idea; travel maps are included.

Anchor
Is it possible to set Anchors on certain parts of the page if they aren't section/subsections? I'm talking about using<a name="AnchorName">This</a>
then to link to it by
<a href="#AnchorName">This</a>.
CHiNback - [ Talk - Message - PM ]
- I don't think we can do that without getting some obscure extension. Besides, there aren't too many pages where it would be needed.
