Buffs:

Buffs are crucial to getting the most out of your stamina. Starting off, you will primarily only need the four(4) main leveling buffs;

Adept Learner, Librarian, Treasure Hunter, & Merchant

As you progress, you will find more and more buffs becoming a vital part of your hunt.


When Asking for Buffs:

  • Either ask in Guild Chat or message the person you want to buff you
    • If asking in chat, it helps to thank the buffer so other potential buffers know you've been buffed
    • It is usually easier on the buffer when you message them since the message gives them a link to buff you
  • No matter which method you choose, remember your manners or the buffer may be reluctant to buff you the next time
  • If it's a paid buff, be sure to promptly pay the buffer after he/she buffs you

Leveling up Composing

Below are some tips I have found to help increase your level in composing as efficiently as possible:

  1. Watch your Fragments! Remember, every potion you make with a skill level above 175 uses Legendary Fragments. These can be hard to come by so you might want to do so sparingly.
  2. The most efficient potion (in terms of time and fragments) is worth 20 Composing XP and takes about 1 hour (just slightly more than for 10 points)and looks something like;
  • Light Foot = Level 40, Adept Learner = Level 14, Duration = 54 Minutes
  • (I choose LF to be level 40 so the potions are not a complete waste - level 40 gives you a 2% chance to not use stamina. However, you can use any skills as long as they total 54 points (50 + 14) and it will use just 6 Common Fragments)
  1. In most cases, the 20-point Potion above is ideal to level up composing efficiently but if your common fragments are getting low, don't hesitate to make some 10-point potions by only using a single skill at level 20 or less and keeping the default of 30 minute duration. This will only cost 1 common fragment so you will not run out quite as fast.

Potions:

For some buffs it is better to use a potion. The cases where you would use a potion instead of buffing yourself or being buffed by a higher player is when you are either unable to find someone to buff you or you need a higher skill level than 175 which a player can buff you.
