Probability of crit?
- Has anyone done a statistical analysis to figure out how small 'very small' chance is?
Personnally, I have obtained the following: with Critical Hit and Piercing Strike both at 96, I have obtained 2 crits out of 183 hits. (203 attempts to hit, 20 miss, 183 hits including 49 piercings and 2 crits)

As low as 1% at full enhancement? I've seen too many criticals for this to be right. Is it possible you missed some that overlapped with your piercing strikes? Regardless, more data points are needed. --JoetheRat 18:19, 4 April 2008 (BST)
Statistical Analysis
I have obtained 60 success out of 2971 successfull PvP strikes (with different Critical Hit enhancement values).
If I postulate that the Critical Hit chance is directly linearly dependant on the enhancement value, I obtain a chance of 2.04% for a Critical Hit enhancement at 100.
The lowest skill value seen (so far) for which Critical Hit kicked-in : 100 (but this doesn't mean anything as the vast majority of PvP fights I have recorded had both contestants at 100 for Critical Hit)
It is likely that a Critical Hit at 100 gives you a 2% chance to benefit from it. Given how most enhancements seem to work, it seems also likely that you get 0% for a Critical Hit between 0 and 49 and 1% for a Critical Hit between 50 and 99. This would explain neatly why I had only a 1% result in the earlier test (where my Critical Hit enhancement was at 96)
