DetailsAs you enter the Citadel of Xinderoth, you see a figure dressed in purple with a large book in one hand and a piece of chalk in the other, at his feet is a box. He is looking directly at you. The figure looks at you with vague interest. He kicks the box at his feet, 'Please drop your Summoning Seal into the box, I can then mark you off'. You look at him blankly, he sighs. 'If you don't have a seal to prove you have been summoned by Xinderoth the I cannot let you in. You can request a seal from one of the Xinderoth Watchers. They can be found within the first floor of the Citidal or outside in our glorious City. Good day.' You return, the figure dressed in purple addresses you, 'Have you a Summoning Seal?' You drop the Seal into the box beside the figure, 'Excellent, you may now go speak with the Gate Keeper, he will direct you to the correct person within the Citadel. All Seals are magically connected though a Xind line. This is to protect the Citadel from gate crashers. Some people think simply killing the Xinderoth Watchers to get a Seal will gain them access to the Citadel. Can you Imagine such naivete!' A Golem stands before you, 'Ah, another supplicant. Please go to... Wait, I see no thread. There must be some mistake.' The Golem looks at you. His large stone head shakes slowly, 'Little one, Xinderoth has been around for long enough not to make such obvious mistakes. I would be very careful if I were you. I cannot let you pass without the Xind thread. Only creatures of the Citadel have such a thread. But beware these creatures, the Decapoid are not without potency'. The old Golem shakes his head slowly as you approach, 'I see no Xind thread attached to you, do you have a token of Xinderoth which proves that there has been a mistake?' The Old Golem looks at the crystal, and shakes his ancient head, 'You are more determined than many my friend, but the Crystal is spent. Obviously taken by force from a Decapoid. Shame for you I'm not a fool, that must be very frustrating. You must have a crystal which is full or re-filled'. He then stops abruptly as if he has spoken too much.' The Citadel is vast, you wander it's corridors looking for a way to re-fill your empty Xind Crystal. You come across a strange alter which has light flowing out of it like water. As the strange light flows over the crystal, it seems to hum. You lift the Crystal out of the light and it shines with a life of it's own. You should return to the Gate Keeper with your new find. You gain 1 x Pulsing Xind Crystal. The Old Golem actually chuckles as you return, 'Have you a Pulsing Xind Crystal my friend?' The Gate Keeper takes the crystal, 'You are obviously a welcome visitor to the Citadel, I'm sorry I ever doubted you. I have a feeling that you path is going to be a long one my friend. You may enter the Citadel through the stairs behind you'. You gain 769,922 xp. |
