DetailsThe Shroud is different here from last time, you remember it being a barren dry place. But you are surrounded swirling mists. You find Jamesina and Virmalthorn deep in conversation. Jamesina pouts at you, 'Well, yes. We were expecting to see a large rune or pillar that allowed passage to Shroud. But there is nothing here. We are just considering other possibilities. Virmalthorn hands you a scroll. He murmurers, 'We require further knowledge of the Creatures within the Realm. Could you please build this Bane Soul Light. With it we can take a measure of those who dwell here.' You receive 1 x Bane Soul Light Recipe Virmalthorn nods at Jamesina, then turns to you as you approach, 'Have you taken the Bane Soul Light?' The crystal skull rests within Virmalthorn's skeletal hands, 'I see, these Ogres have been attuned to this land. This has been done to them, though I would guess without their knowledge. These Ogres cannot ever leave this land and still live. As such, their rage manifests before them in a fire of energy that they can destroy those who stand against them. The mists around us allow this to be done. But their bodies now rely on this to be done as a vent, or the fires of anger will burn within the Ogres and consume them.' Virmalthorn's fingers curl around the Soul Light, he whispers a half audible prayer and the sea blue crystal skull suddenly turns into a golden yellow. He hands you the Blessed Bane Light. 'This is how the Ogres Soul should truly shine.' Jamesina gasps at its beauty. Virmalthorn continues, 'I guess that the Dreadlord or his minions would take this Soul Energy from the Ogres somehow for his own spell weaving.
