DetailsYou stumble upon an old man garbed in a flowing blue cloak. 'Those evil Dwarves. These lands used to be part of the City of Helmirr, until those Dwarves set off a series of explosions, forcing the eruption of the nearby volcano. What once was a flourishing city is now covered in flowing lava. They must be stopped before they can destroy the rest of the city!' 'We have already lost many in an attempt to stop them. I do hope you succeed where they failed. Return to me if you are successful.'You arrive back at the old man. He seems relieved at your safe return. 'Did you manage to drive off those Dwarves?' 'Unfortunately I don't think that will be enough to stop them. They are passing into this realm through a magical portal south of here. You must destroy it in order to stop them from coming through. Here, take this explosive. I managed to steal it from one of the Dwarf patrols as they passed through.' The old man hands you a rudimentary but powerful looking explosive. ' You gain the item 'Basic Explosive'.You arrive at the portal the old man mentioned. You make a quick search of the area, but it appears the portal is unguarded. You feel a dark energy eminating from the portal as you approach. You place the explosive as close as you can before lighting the fuse. You rapidly disperse from the area, getting as far away as possible before the explosive detonates. Surely enough the explosive detonates. Turning back, you notice the portal evaporate. You must return and inform the old man of your success in destroying the portal.You arrive back at the old man. 'Were you successful in destroying the portal?' 'Excellent! Unfortunately I don't think that is the end of trouble. I have received reports of more trouble further north towards the Crystal Fortress. You should head there, and see what you can do to assist.
