DetailsA village appears to be under attack by several demonic beasts. The Gnomes attempt to fend off the creatures, but find themselves overwhelmed by the massive demons. Will you help them?
Several of the creatures spot your approach and turn their attention to you. You must now fight for your survival! You continue to fight off the creatures while in the background the Gnomes also frantically battling off the creatures, several giving their lives for the protection of their village.
You successfully slay the last of the deamonic beasts. The bodies of the fallen Gnomes are carried into the village while the others start rebuilding the wooden palisade encompassing the village, as several sections were torn down by the beasts. One of the Gnomes approaches you. 'Thank you for helping us fend off those creatures. Our homes would have surely been destoyed had those other creatures set upon our village. We are expecting more soldiers from our settlement south of here, but so far none have arrived. I don't suppose you could check to see what happened to them? You look like you can handle yourself out there.'
'Oh thank you. As I mentioned, you should find the settlement south of here. Good luck!' You arrive at what appears to be the remains of the settlement the Gnome mentioned.
You look about the area but find nothing, not even any bodies. It certainly doesn't appear as if this settlement is fit for supplying soldiers. You will need to return to the Gnome and explain what you've discovered. You arrive back at the village. The Gnome notices your arrival and approaches you. 'Did you find out what happened to our reinforcements?' 'I see, well it looks like we will have to dig in for now. We were able to kill enough creatures to deter them from attacking, at least for now. I thank you however for your help. There is not much we can offer you except for this small gift. I hope you find use for it!' The Gnome hands you a small rune. You gain 1,409,305 XP and 'Rune of Daeral'.
