DetailsAs you work your way through this strange graveyard, you have the uncomfortable feeling that you are not alone, though you see no one around. The mist curls around your ankles and you feel the desolate aura of the place. You stop and look behind you. No-one is there. You turn back and are startled to find a ghostly knight in front of you, poised to attack! 'The question stills the ghosts attack and he lowers his blade. 'We have not been asked our names in centuries. We are Spectral Knights. We have been here, bound to this foreign place for more years than I care to count.' You look at the solemn ghost and ask why they are here. In hollow tones he says 'We were all killed in far off lands, unknown by the enemies who slew us. As such they buried us all in umarked graves, dishonored and cursed to wander the lands as Spirits. We have gathered here, though we do not know why. Could it be the time of year that draws us? In any event most of us have become mindless ghosts, drawing life force from the mortals who wander through.' Why do you ask? Why would you help us?' You explain that you are a Warrior yourself and feel that being dishonored in such a fashion is callous. Plus if you are able to allow them to rest, you'll prevent the deaths of any wandering mortals. 'You have a good and strong soul Warrior. It may be possible to lay us to rest but it will involve combat. See if you cannot wrest the Heraldry and Blades from my fellow wandering Knights. If you can do so, you will gather names of the fallen. Combine as instructed on this parchment and lay them at a Monument to the Nameless Fallen that lies to the north west in this graveyard. That may well allow us final, blessed peace.' You receive 'Recipe of Knights Registrar'.' You have battled your way through many of the Spectral Knights. None that you came across realized you were battling for their salvation. However, you have the Knights Registrar and have found the Monument to the Nameless Fallen. 'As the Registrar is placed, the mist curls and you hear what sounds like a collective sigh. The Knight that you offered to help appears before you. 'You've done it my friend! You have freed us. The pull this graveyard had on us is no more! I have nothing to give you beyond my Barded Armor. I hope it will serve you well.' With that, the Knight fades from view. The oppressive feeling of the graveyard is gone too and you can actually see some sun through the clouds. You receive 'Ghostly Barded Armor' and 2,048,582 Xp. |
