This looks ok whatever font size I use. I believe however that the ''old'' look is better. Adding some info about the mob(s) (sometimes there *are* 2 mobs) that drop the set items  is good but that could be achieved by other means like simply putting it below. The current setup has the disadvabtage of making it difficult to split the data multiple pages. Let's face it, the ''set'' pages are pages that mix up different kind of information: information on mob, information on items, information on set bonuses. I believe we should keep the data as separate as we can an simply import (think '''embed''') it into the set pages. Embedding data (as opposed to copy/paste) makes maintenance easier (though it does make initial entry a bit more lenghty). I don't want to impose myself on this, I'm not the most active guy on the wiki, but it would be for the best to keep similar pages, well, similar...

New Look

Uh, I don't know how it looks on other browsers but it looks awfull on mine. Things don't line up. I believe we just cannot rely on dots for alignment, it would be a nightmare to have it work properply for everyone (different fonts and browsers). The origin tab also take quite a lot of horizontal space.

What browser are you using? It looks fine in IE and Firefox.
Belgrave, Moderator / Sysop  Talk  Message PM

I'm currently using Opera but it doesn't look fine on my explorer either. At least not with the font size I'm using just now. Whatever the browser, relying on '.' to line up is a no go : any control+wheel up/down on my mouse and the font size change and the alignment goes berserk.

-Phoxtrot 16:34, 14 June 2008 (BST)

That's strange. I just tried IE, Firefox, and Opera and the only time I had any trouble was control+wheel-up in Firefox when it increased the font size faster than it increased the size of the table holding the stats. Everything else automatically adjusted properly for me. I guess the next question is what OS are you using and what is your system's default monospace font?
On a side note, whatever happened with your ticket asking HCS to install Extension:ParserFunctions?
Belgrave, Moderator / Sysop  Talk  Message PM

Well, no answer on the parser extension. I'm using WinXp (32bits) on a 1920*1200 resolution (With such a resolution, default size fonts is a big no... ). Using the whell to change fonts size, there is only one font size where things line up on my resolution (4 steps smaller than the font size I'm using).

lol, with that kind of resolution, no wonder it looks messed up! I recommend you play around with the code in the page a little and see if you can come up with a solution. At the moment, I have it so it all fits in the same width as a window just wide enough to fit the game without a scrollbar across the bottom since I don't like having my browser maximized (I'm using 1280x800 on a laptop).
I think the problem is I hard-coded the table width where I put the stats to make sure it fit on my screen without looking wrong. At the moment, it is set at 375px so if on your screen it leaves it that width but increases the font size, it would look bad.
I'll put in my own ticket about Extension:ParserFunctions. I played around with it and made a working template for the item pages.

How does it look now?

Belgrave, Moderator / Sysop  Talk  Message PM

NO! It doesn't look appealing...too much space between each one.

In which way? Between the two columns or between the individual stats? So far this was actually the only way I could get it to scale properly. I guess I'll try putting each column into a div or something.

Between each stat, there's too much space, and plus, there's a box around it...imagine a set with a huge list of stats...

How about this? It makes the code hard to read though.
