Description

This box is intended for inpage navigation on category pages. This may be useful if a category consists of more than 200 entries, such that you don't have to skip through all the previous items.

Usage

The template follows the standard call with named parameters.

{{CategoryIndexBox|parameter=value|...}}

Required parameters

There are no required parameters without a default value. Using this template without any parameters yields an inpage navigation to the sections named A-Z within the category page it has been included.

Optional parameters

align

The alignment of the box. Should be one of left, right or center, with center being the default value.

basename

The name of the category in which the navigation takes place. If this parameter is omitted the name of the categry page the template is included is used (same as {{{PAGENAME}}}). Note that space characters have to be masked by using the _ (underscore) character.

label

A name for the label of the box can be specified optionally, default is Index.

Known issues

• This template only works with category pages.
• The links in the box will be broken if there are any space characters in the page's name and no other basename is given. To fix this, use the basename option explicitly and replace any space by the _ (underscore) character.
